Sunday Retrospective - November 16, 2008
(This post is part of the Sunday Setlists blog carnival. Check out what other worship leaders are doing around the world…)
After going off-series for the International Day Of Prayer For The Persecuted Church last week, we’re back into the book of Philippians. Jim is doing a great job on it.
Our worship set (links to iTunes):
A Thousand Hallelujahs (Mark Roach) - Mark’s CD “Every Reason Why” has been a big part of my personal worship lately. Good stuff.
Made Me Glad (Miriam Webster) - The lyrics to this are SO strong.
You Have Been So Good (Paul Baloche / Sara Groves) - We plan on bringing this song back to be a big part of our Thanksgiving.
All Praise And Honor (Paul Baloche) - We ended this song with some open-ended worship…I eventually started singing the bridge to “I Will Boast” slowly, and then gradually got up tempo with it, then rocked into the intro for…
I Will Boast (Paul Baloche) - This is SUCH a fun song to do. And a great setting to a scripture that we don’t sing much.
(Hmm. Didn’t mean to go for the Baloche trifecta. These are the songs God led us to…we don’t worry about who wrote ‘em)
It was a very good service. How was yours?

you don’t have to apologize about playing a lot of Baloche….he’s the man. I Will Boast is an incredible song. He writes songs that are easy to play musically, easy to sing the melody, and extremely catchy lyrics. we love him here at the HT.
