Watercooler Wednesday - What’s On TV? (Part Two)

(This post is part of the Watercooler Wednesday culture discussion…)

Following up on my last W.W. post, here’s some more viewing habits of the couch-potato version of Paul J…

THE SPEED CHANNEL - For one show only, and that’s the Barrett-Jackson auto auctions. I’ve always said that if I were rich and stupid, the two things I’d blow all my money on are cars and guitars. So I live vicariously watching other people buy the cars I wish I could own.

FOX NEWS - I really do think they’re fair and balanced, just like they claim to be.

TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES - Commercial free (’nuff said) and some great, great films.

BRAVO - I like Project Runway. Sue me.

And finally, the network that takes up WAAAAYYY too much of my time…

THE FOOD NETWORK! - Man, I’ve just gotten totally into this channel…

I will give this little Food Network caveat…I don’t watch Rachel Ray or Paula Deen. They get on my last nerve.

So, any other foodies on board with me?

I heart the food network. It’s what helped me learn to cook quite a lot when we were first married. :)
We currently don’t have cable but that may change so Alton Brown here we come!!

I’m a Food Network junkie. I really like Michael Chiarello. And Giada on Everyday Italian. Guy is hilarious. I really got hooked into the very last of the season of Top Chef on Bravo. And Hell’s Kitchen on Fox (I think) with Chef Ramsay is entertaining as can be. Paula is way too southern for me. I like some of Rachael’s recipes - they are simple enough for my kids to make. I haven’t watched Food Network Star. Might have to give it a try before the end of the season.

OK. You don’t watch Rachel Ray or Paula. But tell me you don’t watch Sandra Lee or Giada??
