Sunday Retrospective - July 6, 2008

We played “unplugged” yesterday…rolled the baby grand onstage, used congas / djembe for percussion, and violin. Not totally unplugged, ’cause we did have synth as well for some audible meat.

Because of the instrumentation, the music had a laid-back feel. Our setlist (links to iTunes where available):

Come, Worship The King (Sonny Lallerstedt) - Recorded by Michael W. Smith on Glory Revealed, this song from my buddy Sonny in Atlanta is absolutely beautiful. Download it, dig it, use it.
All Praise And Honor (Paul Baloche)
You Are (Mark Roach)
- His album Every Reason Why is a serious home run.
Made Me Glad (Miriam Webster)

After the sermon, a time of response:

Rescue (Jared Anderson)
Shaken (Tony Guerrero)

We started a five week sermon series called SoulFire. Our arts team put together a sweet backdrop, I’ll take some pics and post them for your perusal.

Next week, Anna and I will be on vacation in Florida. Our buddy Anthony Daniell will be leading.

How was your Sunday?

Sadly I picked almost all of the berries yesterday. And we have managed to eat most of them already. (they were great plain and in a smoothie and fruit crisp)

I wish I could send some more plants with berries your way! I have heard there is a berry farm not too far from here where you can pick your own berries…
