Advent
I get a lot out of celebrating the days of Advent leading up to Christmas. It really serves to keep my mind and heart focused on the full meaning of Christ’s arrival.
This year, our church will give out a booklet of devotionals for each day of Advent. Each devotion is written by one of our church members. And there will also be black and white illustrations created by the children.
The first Sunday of Advent is December 2. What are you doing to prepare? How will you observe it? Or do you observe Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and not Advent? (not that there’s anything wrong with that)

Actually, I’ve never observed Advent. I’m very interested in pursuing learning a bit about it though as a devotional activity personally.
