Book Review - “Wedgewood Grey” / “And If I Die” by John Aubrey Anderson

After my positive experience and review of Anderson’s “Abiding Darkness”, I jumped right into the following two books in the “Black Or White Chronicles”.

I continue to appreciate Anderson’s characterizations. He has created a fascinating cross-section of people that it’s very easy to care about. I guess the thing that surprised me most about the rest of the trilogy is the featured characters in each book were not who I expected them to be. That’s good and bad I guess…I really got invested in some of the characters from book one, and wanted to learn more about them…but the freshness of the direction he took was pretty cool.

My big complaint is the ending of book three…suffice it to say that I was not satisfied. I’m hoping the content of the ending was to set up a book four…if not, then it’s a bitter aftertaste to an otherwise excellent read.
