A Wrinkle In Time…
Madeline L’Engle passed into God’s arms today.
A wonderful author…if you’ve never read “A Wrinkle In Time”, you need to buy it this week and dive into an amazing world. The rest of the trilogy - “A Wind In The Door” and “A Swiftly Tilting Planet” - they’re also fantastic.
But it’s her non-fiction work “Walking On Water” that truly impacted me the most.
The subtitle of the book is Reflections On Faith And Art. I can’t even begin to tell how it rocked my world…gave voice to the desires of my heart…put words to my passion…muscle and flesh on the skeleton of my calling. It’s a book that every Christian artist, and maybe even every Christian, should read.
Almost every page of my copy is highlighted and underlined. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve revisited it, especially when I’ve been doubting who I am and what I do.
God, give her a hero’s welcome. And Madeline, enjoy the immeasurable depth of the glory your work reflected so well.
